My story

Lara Gasparro is a Milan-based architect and multidisciplinary designer whose practice moves between architecture, interiors and experiential design.

Her approach is rooted in curiosity and an openness to different disciplines, scales and forms of expression. Architecture, design, culture and temporary installations become interconnected fields of exploration, allowing ideas and sensibilities to move freely between different contexts.

She studied Architecture at Politecnico di Milano, completing both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees, and further enriched her education through an exchange at McGill University in Montréal. Her professional path has since developed through collaborations with Italian and international practices, spanning residential architecture, interiors, retail, cultural spaces and entertainment design.

Since 2022, she has been developing her independent practice, combining architectural and interior projects with an ongoing exploration of the relationship between space, culture and experience. Her multidisciplinary background informs an approach that moves naturally between different scales, from intimate domestic environments to temporary spatial interventions.

At the heart of her work lies a careful exploration of context, its history and the relationships that shape it. Each project begins with an understanding of what already exists, whether a physical environment, a collection of memories or a particular way of inhabiting space. From this reading, she develops a narrative that connects the identity of a place with its potential for transformation.

People remain central to this process. Spaces are conceived around those who inhabit, move through or experience them, with the aim of creating meaningful and distinctive relationships between individuals and their surroundings.
